The brief was to capture the event meet and greet, roundtable discussion and post event group shots. I could tell that every single delegate had many years of experience with this kind of thing, showing no sign of camera shyness during the conversation which is sometimes unavoidable if space is limited. The last thing a business person wants when they’re trying to convey their point is a full frame lens right in their face and camera flash going off every ten seconds. So the aim of this game is to be invisible, let the event play out and record as much emotion and intent of the conversation as possible. As with all events regardless of size, edit turnaround is paramount. All finals were submitted back to the customer within 48 hours and a small selection made available to the office same day so they could load up Twitter in close to real time. The team received a detailed pack of images which documented the day to a tee. They are now free to use them for both blogging and digital archival, maximising investment in the event.
