There are some jobs that come along that make you truly grateful to be doing what you’re doing. This was one of those jobs. Carolyn, the owner of this beautiful holiday home conversion in Brancaster, contacted A9K to shoot the finished property ready for the launch of her new booking website. North Norfolk is quite a hidden gem on the UK coastline. The area is blessed with beautiful beaches, plentiful countryside, a multitude of local produce and historical landmarks. The sleepy village of Brancaster is sandwiched between Thornham and Wells, two other worthy coastal holiday destinations. Over the years we have spent many weeks of quality time in the region, just a short drive east from our Lincolnshire office.

The property conversion was completed to such a high standard that you would probably think the building was like this from day one. We certainly wouldn’t have guessed unless we had the privilege of seeing the before pictures of the build. The brief was simple stuff – make the house look as good as possible. Like all holiday property, the better the house looks has a direct relationship with how easily the bookings calendar fills up. Today’s photographer has a huge arsenal of digital smoke and mirrors to make things look better than they actually do but this property didn’t need a Photoshop facelift. As soon as we walked in through the front door into that impressive double height kitchen, the house speaks for itself.

After we’d got the basics nailed down – all the rooms covered and a variety of angles it was just a case of dropping in few atmospheric images to compliment the beach colour scheme of the house. The light was nice and even on the day so minimal fill flash was needed. Just a touch to even out some shadows. The client was thrilled with the end result as she could now promote her property with absolute confidence.
